Dr. E. Aimée McBride (pronounced “Ah-MEE”) earned her degree in Biosystems Engineering from Clemson University before receiving her Doctor of Optometry from the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Optometry, where she graduated as Valedictorian.
With an engineering background, Dr. McBride brings a thoughtful, analytical approach to patient care. She believes there is rarely a one-size-fits-all answer and enjoys working with each patient to find the solution that best meets their needs. She is committed to building lasting relationships while providing thorough, personalized eye care for patients of all ages.
Dr. McBride lives in Waynesville with her husband, their three boys, and their two dogs. Raising a son with Down syndrome has shaped the way she approaches patient care, reminding her that every individual deserves to be treated with patience, respect, and genuine compassion. Outside the office, she enjoys traveling—especially to National Parks—along with hiking, baking, and crafting. She is an active member of The Orchard Church and loves getting to know the people and families of Haywood County. Building long-term relationships with her patients is one of the most rewarding parts of practicing in the community she is proud to call home.
